Trainspotting writer Irvine Welsh to launch acid home album

The writer has revealed particulars about his debut album.

Trainspotting writer Irvine Welsh has revealed plans to launch an acid home album.

Welsh intends the album to be a “counterblast” to the present dance music scene, which he perceives to be “joyless”. According to The Scottish Sun, the author goals “to inject enjoyable and humour in his acid home tracks”, and sings on some in a German accent.

Discussing his first foray into music, Welsh defined: “It’s probably not banging, full-on mad stuff, nevertheless it’s a whole lot of basic acid home — swirling results and noises and boomy basslines. Some of it’s fairly groovy.”

“Hopefully persons are going to leap round and have a bop, however you’re not going to have your ears bleeding. And you’re not going to need to be stripped to the waist, salivating and banging your head off the ground.”

The album’s launch date has not but been launched.
