Today marks the 850th episode Armin van Buuren’s hugely popular radio show A State Trance. Like every year, this will trigger a series celebration episodes and events all over the world.
Three celebration episodes
Not one or two, but three special celebration episodes will kick f Armin van Buuren’s celebration season this year. The first episode this Thursday will include the legendary Above & Beyond as special guests, presenting their new ‘’Common Ground’’ album that will be released at January 26. One the other episodes will be a full on ‘’Service for Dreamers’’ show, which is an item on the show whereby fans come over to the studio to tell their story on a why a particular Trance track is so special to them. For the full episode, fans could send their song request through a video shout, which the whole episodes will consist . Prepare yourself for some Trance classics and touching stories.
ASOT 850 in Utrecht
A yearly tradition in the ASOT celebration is the huge indoor festival in the Netherlands. This started at episode 500 in Den Bosch and since 2014 in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. With five areas this might as well be called the biggest Trance event in the world, with 30.000 visitors from a variety countries. The line-up will is created to suit all tastes. The mainstage will probably be broadcasted again, and includes Armin van Buuren himself, Gareth Emery, NWYR (W&W) and Purple Haze (Sander van Doorn), surrounded by the talented Ilan Bluestone, David Gravell and Ben Nicky. The fans non-stop banging and uplifting can pleasure themselves at the Who’s Afraid 138 stage with artists like Bryan Kearney, John O’Callaghan and Solarstone, or visit the special Psy-Trance stage. The other two areas are dedicated to the progressive sounds, and the upcoming talents on the Road to 1000 stage. Tickets are still available the ASOT website and the anthem for this year’s celebrations is Armin’s own production ‘’Be In The Moment’’:
More than just Utrecht
Besides the festivities in Utrecht, Armin will take the ASOT 850 show on the road again. Just like last year A State Trance will host its own stage on both Ultra Miami and Tomorrowland, but that is not it. On the 21st April ASOT will drop in Sydney and on the 30th May Gliwice in Poland will be dominated by Trance music. The line-ups these events are yet to be announced, despite Sydney. The Aussies can witness sets by Orjan Nilsen, MaRLo, Ruben de Ronde, Will Atkinson, Armin himself and his pure GAIA project. Since there is no Armin Only show planned this year, the expectations are that more countries and locations will be added to this list, to make it more a world tour again.
