Mark Leckey and Philomène Pirecki exhibit at Art Night 2021 Marathon

Nine original commissions broadcast back-to-back to mark the 2021 edition of contemporary arts festival Art Night, curated by Helen Nisbet.

Nothing Compares 2 U is the fifth edition of Art Night, a festival of contemporary art curated by Helen Nisbet over a single evening. Taking its title from the Prince classic, arguably even more famously sung by Sinéad O’Connor, the title acts as a frame for the festival, pulling at a thread of defiance and both personal and collective self-determination which runs throughout the programme. In a marathon live stream, nine original commissions, including three co-commissions with Fact, will be broadcast back-to-back – and you can tune in right here on Fact.

We will present the marathon from 20:00 GMT tonight (Thursday, July 15) alongside ATLAS Arts, Compton Verney, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Glasgow Women’s Library, Grand Union, Near Now, New Hall Art Collection, Peak, The Tetley and Wysing Arts Centre. You can find the program below:
