LMPD makes State of Emergency in anticipation of riots for Breonna Taylor decision coming this week

Breonna Taylor decision is coming this week and LMPD has called for a state of emergency in anticipation of riots from the decision. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is making the decision and people close to the case say they know he will not prosecute or charge the police in Breonna’s murder.

Interim LMPD Chief of Police Robert Schroeder wrote in a memo, “To ensure we have the appropriate level of staffing to provide for public safety services and our policing functions, effective immediately the LMPD will operate under the emergency staffing and reporting guidelines as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Plan and collective bargaining agreements until further notice.”
