This past weekend brought another wave garbage news when it was reported that Chicago’s Fredo Santana had passed away at age 27. If you follow Fredo at all then you may have known that he had been ill for a while and was recently hospitalized for liver and kidney failure. There’s a very good chance that his health problems were related to his penchant for lean, and he had been open in the past about using drugs to escape his demons. It’s a very sad situation on a number levels. Fredo was one many, many Chicago drill rappers who rose to prominence after Chief Keef kicked the doors in during the early half this decade, and he was honestly one the few who I still checked for to this day.
